Ingredients needed
· One cup of tapioca pearls (sabudana) soaked in clean water overnight
· One tbsp of oil
· One boiled potato chopped in squares format
· 7 - 8 curry leaves
· Asafetida, a small pinch
· One teaspoon of cumin seed
· ¼ teaspoon of mustard seed
· ½ teaspoon of turmeric powder
· Three pieces of green chilies, chopped it well
· One tbsp of minced ginger
· One teaspoon of sugar
· ½ cup of roasted peanuts
· One teaspoon of roasted cumin powder (optional)
· ½ lime and extract its juice
· Salt for taste
· Few coriander leaves, chopped for garnishing purpose
Preparation direction
1. The first step you need to remember is, soak sabudana in a water and it is one of the very important step.
2. While soaking you needs to consider that the level of the water should be ½ inch above the sabudana.
3. On the next day it will reach the consistent state, that it should be mashed by fingers.
4. Now add oil in a pan, when it become hot then put mustard seed, cumi seed, sugar, asafetida, ginger, turmeric powder and curry leaves. Deep fry it for 20 seconds.
5. Then add the chopped potatoes which are kept ready and then put some cumin powder, grounded peanuts, salt for taste and grounded peanuts.
6. Blend it well meantime add the sabudana well with and be caution if it is over fried then it will stick on the pan.
7. If you see the sabudana changes color and it become translucent then remove it from the pan and squeeze some lime juice and garnish it with cilantro!!
