Poha is known as aval in tamil. It is very nutritional ingredient which reduces the fat and improves the protein. Generally we serve poha with milk and sugar. It is common dish, instead of doing that doing dish you can prepare poha kheer. It isvery simple and you can prepare it within 20 minutes time duration.
Ingredients required
· 1 cup of Poha
· 1 L - Milk
· ¾ cup of Sugar
· 1 tbsp of Ghee
· 10 finely chopped Cashew
· 20 Raisins
· 5 Almonds
· 3 Pistachios
· ¼ tsp of Cardamom powder
Method of preparation
1. Initially you need to wash the poha and soak it for 15 minutes and drain it.
2. Now boil the milk and add soaked poha into it. Gently stir it.
3. Add sugar and cook it until it becomes half.
4. Now add the ghee in another pan and fry cashews, almonds and raisins.
5. Add it into the ghee and serve it hot!!
Note:
If you need, you can also add food color for colorful representation.
