Halwa is one of the sweetest recipes; no one will hesitate to eat this dish. It will takes place during our happiest moments. Today we are preparing halwa in variety of legumes and cereals. But you will never hear about potato halwa. Potato is used across the country so it is consider as home based ingredients. Hence it is very simple to prepare.
Ingredients required
· Potatoes - 4-5 (medium sized)
· Sugar - Half a cup
· Ghee - 4 tbsp
· Milk - 1 cup
· Raisins - 1 tbsp (washed)
· Cashew - 1 tbsp (chopped)
· Cardamom - 5-6
· Almonds - 6-7 (finely crushed)
Preparation methods
1. Initially you need to wash the potatoes and boil it until it gets cooked. Peel its external skin.
2. Now add ghee on frying pan, boiled potatoes and cook it for 7 minutes by mashing.
3. You should be careful that the mashed potatoes should not stick with the pan.
4. Then add milk, sugar and stir well. Cook until the milk gets reduced and getting halwa consistency.
5. Finally add cardamoms, cashews, almonds and raisins.
