Generally cereals are good for health so it is playing a major part during festival time. Chickpeas sundal is common for ganesh chathurthi and navarathri. Here I am sharing one nutritional recipe called nine cereals recipe. At an instant you are in-taking all nutrition of all cereals. It is very simple to prepare and make this dussera more fun.
Ingredients Required
Major ingredients
· Brown cow peas (black eyed pea)
· White black eyed pea
· White channa (chick pea)
· Peanuts
· Brown channa
· Green gram
· Bengal gram
· Green peas
· Horse gram
Quantity of cereal is your preference, as per your wish you can add cereals. If it is in equal amount then it will be good to eat. Here I take one bowl which contains all cereal of equal amount.
· 1/4 cup grated coconut
· 1/4 cup of finely chopped raw mango
· 1/4 cup of finely chopped carrot
For Seasoning
· 1 tsp of oil
· A pinch of Mustard
· 1 tsp of Urad dal
· 2 nos of Red chilli
· A pinch of Hing (asafoetida)
· Few Curry leaves
Preparation Methods
1. Initially you need to soak all cereals overnight except the Bengal gram because it is enough to soak for one hour before cooking.
2. Then pressure cook, all cereals in combined manner with enough salt and keep it aside.
3. Now heat the oil and add mustard seeds, hing, urad dal, red chillies respectively. When it truns brown color then add curry leaves and boiled cereals.
4. Stir fry for 3 minutes then add coconut, mangoes and carrot.
5. Now check the salt and serve it hot!!
