Are you looking for a sweet Guajarati dish then it is preferable for you to prepare Nan khatai. It is very simple to prepare the dish in home without the help of microwave oven. Ingredients required
· One cup of gram flour
· ½ cup of powdered sugar
· ½ cup of desi ghee/ vegetable oil
· ½ tsp of baking powder
· 4-5 of green cardamom
· 4-5 of pistachios
Preparation methods
1. Firstly you need to peel the cardamom and grind it in powder form meanwhile you can heat the ghee until it reach the liquid consistency.
2. Then in a fresh bowl add the gram flour, baking powder, powdered sugar green cardamom powder and hot ghee in it.
3. Now blend all this well and make it in the form of dough and it should be very soft and keep it undisturbed for a while.
4. Take a heavy bottomed vessel fill it with salt or sand for about 300 to 400 grams the place the wires and net stand in the vessel in order to get the microwave setup.
5. Now grease the plate with ghee in which you are going to place inside the utensil, on the other hand prepare the small balls with the dough you have prepared and keep pistachios on the top of it for decoration.
6. Now place the balls in a tray and keep it inside the heavy bottomed vessel and cover it with a lid for 15 to 20 minutes check its puffiness if you are not satisfied then cook it for additional three to four minutes.
