Last month I have visited Kolkata for official purpose, there I was excited about the trip and we spend our memorable time there. I saw and experience many unforgettable things there among the many Bengali fish curry has become my favorite. The Bengali curry dish is very special in that locality and it gives mouth watery taste.
Ingredients required
· Two tbsp of lemon juice
· Mustard seed for oil frying
· Salt as per your taste
· Eight fish fillets
· One tbsp of red chilli powder
· Four red chillies whole
· One tsp of mustard paste
· One tsp of turmeric powder
· Four green chillies slit
· Two tbsp of coriander powder
· One tbsp of garlic paste
· One tsp of mustard seeds
· One bay leaf
· Two cup of chopped onions
· One tbsp of ginger paste
· One tsp of turmeric powder
· One tsp of onion seeds
Preparation direction
1. The major ingredient used in this dish is fish, where initially you need to clean the fish well and marinate it with lemon juice, salt and turmeric powder and keep it undisturbed for 30 minutes.
2. Heat the pan with one table spoon of oil; fry the marinated fish on either side on it until it looks like brown color. Then take it out and keep it aside.
3. Now heat the remaining oil in a pan, append some mustard seeds, onion seeds, bay leaf and red chillies and make it brown then add garlic paste, ginger and fry it deeply for a minute.
4. Then append the onion, red chillies, turmeric powder and coriander powder and stir the masala in deep heat with the oil at one stage the oil will get separated.
5. Now add some water, salt and allow it to boil along with the fried fish if you need spicier then add some more chilies on it.
