Preparation methods
(i) Ingredients for puttu
· One cup of coarse rice flour
· 1/2 cup of grated coconut
· Water as per your requirement
· Salt as per your taste
(ii) Ingredients for kadala curry
· One kg of black bengal gram
· 100 ml of coconut oil
· Three grated coconut
· 10 gram of garlic
· 150 gram of shallots
· 10 gram of mustard seeds
· 50 gram of red chilli
· 500 grams of chopped onion
· 50 gram of whole coriander
· 1 teaspoon of turmeric powder
· 1/2 teaspoon of red chilli powder
· 2 sprigs of curry leaves
· Two teaspoons of garam masala powder
· Salt as per your taste
Preparation methods
(i) Preparation of puttu
Firstly add the water and salt in a flour mix well and you should not see any lumps in the flour. While the water you need to be careful do not add more.
Fill this mixture in a puttu maker and then fill the grated coconut on the next layer and in alternatively you need to fill the puttu maker and steam it. Now remove it from the puttu maker and serve it!!
(ii) Preparation of kadala curry
Stew black Bengal gram in salt before cooking, sauté the grated coconut, red chilli, curry leaves, garlic and coriander with coconut oil.
Grind the mixture and you can get the coarse mixture, it will give additional taste to the recipes.
Now in hot oil put some mustard seeds, coriander powder, sliced onions, garam masala powder and chilli powder. Make a deep fry on these materials now add some water along with the boiled channa cook for some time and serve it hot!!
