Preparing a snack without any additional materials seems to be best and only some dishes are available in this constrain. Ingredients required
· 8 - 10 Idli's cut in the form of horizontal strips
· One cup of thinly sliced capsicum
· One cup of finely chopped tomato
· One cup of finely chopped onions
· Two finely chopped green chilies
· 1/4 tsp of red chilli powder
· 1/2 tsp of turmeric powder
· 2 - 3 tbsp of tomato ketchup/ sweet & sour asian chilli sauce
· Small bunch of finely chopped coriander leaves
· Small cluster of mint leaves
· Oil just for cooking
· Salt as per your taste
Preparation methods
Take a heavy bottomed pan and pour the oil in it, fry the sliced idly which becomes brown color then take it out.
Again, heats the oil in a pan add onion, green chillies and capsicum fry it in medium heat. Once it become tender then add tomatoes, peer, salt, chilli powder and turmeric powder and stir it well.
If all the veggies become soft and tender then finally add the friend idly along with the chopped coriander and mint leaves. Now turn off the stove and serve it hot.
Normally this does not need any side dish, if you need you can prepare curd raita and it is very simple to made, add some chopped onions, very fine amount of green chillies and cucumber of larger amount. It will be mind blowing side dish for masala idly!!
