Today I went to a famous hotel; there I have tasted a unique Bengali dish name Cholar Dal. It is one of the fantastic dishes which I never ate in my life. It is one of the vegetarian dishes that it will taste yummy. Then I searched in internet for the recipe of delicious dish, hence from there I collected points and penned it here in more simplified manner. Make use of tips and prepare this recipe in your home and get applause from your family members.
Ingredients required
· One tblsp of ghee
· 4 to 6 slit green chillies
· One tsp of garam masala powder
· One tblsp of coriander powder
· Bay leaves - 3
· 1/4 of one cup coconut
· One tsp of red chilli powder
· One tsp of turmeric powder
· 2 to 4 tsp of sugar
· 250 gms of bengal gram (divided chana dal)
· 1 tblsp of cumin powder
· Saltas per your taste
· 1 tblsp of raisins
Directions to prepare
1. Initially you need to dhal and boil it with four cup of water.
2. Then you need to mix cumin, garam masala, turmeric powder and spitted green chillies.
3. Blend salt and sugar as per your taste.
4. Now mix well stir fry until the dal become soft & thick.
5. Take a heavy bottomed pan and heat ghee.
6. Add some bay leaves & garam masala in it.
7. When it splutters, mix the dal in it.
8. Mix it nicely and cut coconut into small pieces fry it in ghee until it become brown color.
9. Add it in to the dal and stir it for few minutes.
10. Finally serve this recipe in hot mode with luchi.
