Here you can get simple steps for preparation.
Essential ingredients
· 1/2 kg of ghee / clarified butter
· 1/2 kg of sugar (finely powdered)
· 3/4 tsp of salt
· 15 green cardamom pods skins has to be removed & powdered
· 3/4 kg of plain flour or all-purpose flour
· 1/4 kg of fine semolina
· 2 tbsp of green cardamom powder for decorating Nankaties
Preparation methods
1. The first step is, taking clarified butter or ghee in a bowl and Wisk the it until you can see the creamy texture.
2. Now slowly add sugar, cardamom and salt to the ghee; again stir it until all the sugar gets dissolved. Make use of your hand for mixing and it is enough too.
3. Now filter the semolina and flour together and add the in a bowl and mix well, when the flour semolina add then your dough become soft and gentle.
4. All this has to be made in previous day and cover it with muslin clot and kept undisturbed and you need to preheat the oven on next day at 325 degree Fahrenheit temperature.
5. Now roll dough into small balls and shape it any form by using your hands itself. Then bake the balls you have prepared after dipping it in cardamom powder. Now decorate the Nankaties with the nuts or dried fruits.
6. After baking store it in a air tight container for future use!!
