Every year, ramzan happiness will start with ramzan kheer. It is very special and common through the world. Probably all Muslim ladies will know how to make this ramzan special dish. But this will be more helpful for other who wishes to do this kheer. It is very simple and you can prepare in it with home ingredients. It is enriched with proteins and vitamins so it is also defied to be a healthy recipe.
Ingredients required
(i) To pressure cook
· Raw rice of 1/2 cup
· 1 tbsp of Moong dal
· 1/8 tsp of Turmeric powder
· 3-4 cups of Water
· One small Carrot
· 3-5 Beans
· 2 tbsp of Peas
· 2 tbsp of Grated Cabbage
· 15 – 20 groundnuts
· One Tomato
· One Green chilli (slit)
· Salt as you required
· 1/2 tsp of Garam masala powder
· 2 tbsp of Coriander leaves (chopped)
(ii) To sauté
· 1 tbsp of Cooking oil
· One Big onion
· One Cinnamon, clove, cardamom, bay leaf
· 1/4 tsp of Ginger,garlic paste
· 1 cup of coconut milk (thick)
Directions to prepare
(i) Initially wash rice, vegetables and chop it finely then extract the thick coconut milk.
(ii) Pressure cook all the ingredients that are mentioned above with 4 cup of water. Now the rice and dhal will get mashed with each other.
(iii) After the pressure is released, now in a khadai sauté all the spicy ingredients and put it in the pressure cooker.
(iv) Finally add coconut milk and boil it for 5 minutes. Now turn off the flame and server it in a bowl by garnishing the coriander leaves.
Note:
If you need you can also add meat or chicken along with the pressure cook ingredients but you need to chop it finely.
If the kheer is very thick then you can also add some water to get exact consistency.
