Sandesh is one the sweet which is very famous in northern part of India and it is specially made during the diwali occasions. This diwali you can present sandesh to your family members and they will be happier.
Required ingredients
· One litre milk
· 1 - 1.5 tbsp lemon juice / vinegar
· Two tbsp of palm jaggery / substitute with two tbsp of sugar
· Three tbsp of sugar (as required)
· 4 to 5 pistachios, 10-12 golden raisins and almonds
Preparation methods
1. Initially you need to boil the milk and when it reach the boiling point then add the lemon juice or vinegar then you can see the sedimentation in the milk.
2. Take clean cotton or muslin cloth put all the milk curdles in it; fold it nicely and hang it in a height.
3. After 20 minutes take it down and press it using a heavy weight material like stone or some other. So that all the moisture content in the panner curdles comes out.
4. Now add the jaggery and sugar on it and blend it well.
5. Now heat a non stick pan and put the blended mixture in to then cook for 10 to 12 minutes so that blended mixture will reach the appropriate consistency.
6. Then take the mixture add some cardamom (if needed) and make mould in your preferred shape decorate it with almonds and pistachios on the top.
7. Now it’s time to serve it and make your day happier!!
