Samosa is one of the healthy snacks as it contains many healthy ingredients. You can make this samosa within 45 minutes. It is very simple and most lovely dish across the country. Since it is stuffed with veggies so it is good for health. It is also cconsider as one of the chat variety.
Ingredients:
· All Purpose Flour
· Onions – one (big)
· Potatoes – two (big)
· Green Peas – ½ bowl
· Green Chili - 4
· Ginger Garlic Paste – 1 tbsp
· Cilantro Leaves
· Red Chili Powder – ½ tsp
· Baking Soda - a pinch
· Salt as per your Taste
· Oil for deep frying
Step By Step Instruction:
1. The first thing you need to do is to boil the potatoes and peel of the skin. Chop these boiled potatoes into small pieces.
2. Finely chop onions, carrot and chili and keep it aside. Take a spoon of garlic and ginger paste.
3. Heat the pan with a small amount of oil. First add the chopped onions to the heated pan and sauté it. Then add chili, chopped carrot and ginger and garlic paste to it.
4. You can also add boiled peas if you prefer. Again sauté it until the mixture becomes tender. Then add salt, red chilli powder and chopped potatoes finely. Allow it to cook for three to four minutes.
5. Turn off the heat and allow it to cool for 10 minutes. Then mix all
6. Take a bowl with some all purpose flour, add water, salt and baking soda until it becomes strong dough.
7. Make small balls with the dough and roll them into thin circles. Then you can cut into half using the knife. Shape these circles into the sides. Then fill the cooked potato mixture into the cones and close the sides by spearing water on the edges.
8. Now heat the pan with oil and when it is hot enough, you can fry the samosa in it. Don’t put the samosa in oil when it is not hot enough as the somosa will get soaked with oil. This would spoil the taste.
9. Cook them until it becomes a golden brown color.
10. You can place the samosa on the tissue paper to drain the oil. You can serve it with tomato ketchup or chutney.
